With the persistence of the crisis, there is need to start shifting from emergency relief assistance schemes which are short lived into more sustainable interventions. Caritas Kumbo has engaged in long term sustainable interventions that are aimed at building resilience and self-reliance. This is to prepare the people for early recovery.
Bearing on this, Caritas has engaged into providing food aid (provision of farm inputs and empowering of farmers to be more productive, skills enhancement and re-engagement of skilled youth into establishing their business places, setting up petty trading businesses for traders).
Also, Caritas Kumbo has engage into renovation of public facilities like schools and health centers to improve access to education and health care which are backbone for the well being and development of every person and every community, this is the case of Takijah health center in Nkum Sub- division and Binju primary school in Nkambe town where renovation work has been done and completed.
